Pattern of adverse drug reactions with chemotherapeutic drugs in a tertiary care hospital of North India: a retrospective study

Background: Adverse drug reactions are important causes of mortality and morbidity in the patients. Early detection, evaluation monitoring ADRs is essential to improve public health. Methods: This was an observational, non-interventional retrospective study conducted at ADR centre a tertiary care hospital North India. Suspected forms reported over period 4 years involving least one chemotherapeutic with dose were analyzed. Results: A total 261 drugs associated Out these, maximum numbers by males (54%). Maximum reporting done Skin VD department (37.93%). Causality assessment probable number cases Most common skin rashes (21.46%), followed jaundice, urticaria fixed eruptions. suspected be caused Anti tubercular (31.42%) anticancer (14.56%).
